About Me

Hi, I'm Julia Chastain. I'm a happy wife, a stay-at-home mom, and avid crafter. My husband Jimmy and I have three kids--Monkey (7), Tater (4), and Curlytop (3),--and I could not ask for three sweeter or more active kids! They keep me on my toes! I love to cook, bake, sew, paint, scrapbook, make jewelry, crochet, read and sing--I'm a little ADD in my hobbies! Also, really important to me is my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, something that I hope is reflected in everything that I do. Prior to my kids, I was a high school English teacher, and even though it's not my "official" role anymore, I still find myself  constantly teaching other people the skills that I know, so I thought 'what better place to reach more people than online?'
I hope that readers of my blog will find inspiration and confidence to try new things that maybe they never thought they could do before. Most of the things I do are completely self-taught; if I can do it, so can you!
