My Favorite Free Unicorn Party Printables

Unicorn parties are all the rage for little girls right now--my kids have gone to four birthday parties in the last two months alone, and three of them were unicorn-themed! Pretty white unicorns, lots of flowers, sparkle and glitter--what's not for a little girl to love? If we're honest with ourselves, even we adults find unicorns fascinating and beautiful. Don't you wish they were real?!?

Two years ago, Monkey had a unicorn birthday party, but her love for unicorns has not abated since, and she and her little sister are still crazy for them, so it came as no surprise that for Curly's 5th birthday she wanted a unicorn theme as well! Go figure!

All this unicorn-craze makes it super-easy to find unicorn-themed party invitations, decorations, games and fun food ideas in stores and on the internet priced from reasonable to (in my opinion at least) insane. But if you're at all familiar with me, you know I'm all about the freebies! And having done two unicorn parties now, I've definitely had the time to find my favorites, and today I'm gonna share them with you! Here is my list of my favorite FREE unicorn printables for parties or fun.

Let's start with all-in-one packages. It doesn't get much easier putting a party together than using one (or more) of these adorable printables that include invitations, decorations, favor tags, and even a party favor or two--all free for the download! Amazing, right?!? I downloaded both of the following and then just printed out what I wanted from each download.

This year I used the birthday banner, welcome sign, and favor tags from Catch My Party, but her download also includes cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, invitations, flags, etc.:

This download is one of two I found on her site, so you have options! 😁

For the cupcake toppers and unicorn name game (for a party favor) I used a download from Confetti Crate I saved a couple years ago, but when I looked for them online today to verify my link, I found that the page no longer exists! 😢 However, I found similar downloads for you on Oh My Fiesta, The Frugal Sisters and Chicfetti, so you can pick your favorite to use. I think they all look magical!

Our favorite unicorn games to play at a party (or really anytime 😉) include:

Here are some of the unicorn activities we've done over the years:

(Here's a picture of us doing several of these activities at Curly's party; as you can see, even her brother got into the fun!)

  • String a unicorn-themed bracelet with some memory wire, colorful beads and unicorn charms I picked up at Hobby Lobby

This last one may not be free to you, but it is low-cost, and the kids had a lot of fun making their own bracelets. Since I occasionally make my own jewelry, I had everything I needed on hand except the unicorn charms, so it was almost free for me. I chose to use memory wire because it makes a bracelet that fits everyone, regardless of age, and it doesn't need a fastener, just the ends of the wire curled up to keep the beads in place.

Speaking of bracelets and masks, I'm a big fan of party crafts that can double as a party favor as well--saves money and the kids have a personal interest in what they take home. But in addition to the masks and bracelets the kids made at the party, they also got to take home their own copy of the unicorn name game mentioned above and these adorable pillow boxes from Mom Collaborative that I filled with rainbow-colored marshmallows--otherwise known as "unicorn poop"! Those were a big hit as well! You can find something similar at Printables.se--the website has all different kinds of unicorn-themed treat boxes free for downloading.

When it comes to decorations, I love to download freebies like these beautiful posters below I found on Pinterest several years ago.

Unfortunately, the first set is another case of something I found awhile back that no longer seems to be available online, but the second set is available at the blog DIY Candy. Some other great sources for free unicorn wall art include:
Make Breaks (she also has dozens of other free unicorn printables),

This list was found in a 30-minute search of Pinterest (my go-to place for freebies); if I spent more time, I'm sure I could find even more!

So there you have it--everything you need to plan a magical unicorn party for your little one for nothing more than the cost of ink and paper! Now all you need to do is plan the food! Unicorns eat pizza, right?
